Saturday, June 15th 2013, four francophone movies will be screened at The Globe Cinema (617 – 8th Ave S.W.). Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Ticket prices are $5 for the first movie (Le jour des corneilles) and for $10 for the following three movies.

Sunday, June 16th 2013, a francophone movie will be screened in the Jenkins room at the Mount Royal University (4825 Mt. Royal Gate S.W.) and will be followed a second francophone movie that will be screened at La Cité des Rocheuses (4800 Richard Rd S.W.). Both of these screenings will be free of charge.

When 18-year-old Joseph Silbers reports for mandatory service in the Israeli military, blood testing reveals he is not the biological son of Alon, an Israeli Army commander, and Orith, a prominent physician, but of Said and Leila Al-Bezaaz, Palestinians who live in the West Bank. As newborns, the two families' sons were switched in the hospital, with the Silbers' true son, Yacine, growing up in Palestine with the Al-Bezaaz family. The revelation turns the lives of the two families upside down, forcing them to reassess their identities, values, and beliefs.
